This necklace takes inspiration from an early 20th-century Russian necklace of egg pendants arranged on a gold chain originally worn by Dina Merrill, the youngest daughter of Marjorie Merriweather Post. Post gifted many of the eggs on the necklace to Merrill in the late 1930s. Each egg is distinguished by a unique enamel design and is inlaid with precious stones such as emeralds and rubies.
Semi-precious stone eggs include amethyst, tiger's eye, lapis and rose quartz; cast eggs are pewter with gold finish and epoxy
