These stunning earrings are adapted from an amethyst and turquoise necklace created in 1950 for Marjorie Merriweather Post by the renowned jewelry firm Cartier. Post started collecting Cartier pieces in the 1920s, and she remained one of Cartier's most important clients for the rest of her life.
